Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has appealed to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, to intervene over the freezing of his bank accounts by the Federal Government.

Lens News gathered that Igboho made the request during a closed-door meeting with the monarch at his Bodija residence in Ibadan on Monday. The meeting lasted about 40 minutes and also touched on regional security matters.

Oba Ladoja assured Igboho of his readiness to intervene, pledging to seek ways to resolve both the freezing of the activist’s accounts and his lingering designation as a wanted person.

Igboho’s bank accounts were frozen under the previous administration after he was accused of stockpiling arms  allegations he has repeatedly denied.

Supporters are now watching closely to see how far the Olubadan’s influence can go in securing relief for the embattled activist.
