The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for internal candidates, showing a 60.26% pass rate in five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

LensNews confirmed that out of 1,367,210 candidates who sat for the exam nationwide, 818,492 candidates met the benchmark of five credits and above including English and Mathematics. NECO also reported that 84.26% of candidates secured at least five credits irrespective of English and Maths.

Announcing the results in Minna, the Registrar of NECO, Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi, noted that 1,622 candidates with special needs participated in the examination. He added that their results have also been fully released.

However, NECO withheld the results of 599 candidates from eight schools in Lamurde Local Government Area of Adamawa State following confirmed cases of examination malpractice. The Registrar assured that investigations were ongoing, and decisions would be made in line with established examination policies.

Parents and students can now check results online via NECO’s official portal using their exam numbers and tokens.
