The mother of Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari, died last night at the age of 93.
The elderly matriarch, described as “a complete Fulani woman” who lived with wisdom and grace, was also mother to the current Village Head of Radda, Alhaji Kabir Umaru Radda, and Hajiya Hauwa Umaru Radda, former wife of late Nigerian President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
In a press release issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the late matriarch will be laid to rest today in Radda Village, Katsina by 4:00pm.
