The Director General of City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Tosin Shoga has been recognized among Nigeria’s 100 Most Influential Progressives at the 2025 award ceremony held at Barcelona Hotel, Abuja, on Friday.
The Progressive Media honoured Shoga for his exceptional leadership of the youth-led sociopolitical organization that champions President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
The award, according to Progressive Media recognizes Shoga unwavering commitment to excellence and remarkable achievements in driving national progress through youth development initiatives.
“His dedication has significantly contributed to driving progress and championing youth development, giving Nigerian youth a voice in society,” the media outlet stated.
“Your precedent has set a standard for other youth leadership to emulate.
Accepting the honour, Shoga expressed gratitude on behalf of Mr. Seyi Tinubu, the Grand Patron of City Boy Movement for being selected among the distinguished recipients.
He used the platform to challenge Nigerian youth to embrace the progressive ideals of President Tinubu’s administration as a catalyst for national advancement.
“I charge Nigerian youth to embrace progressive ideals of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to drive the country forward,” Shoga declared during his acceptance speech.
The award ceremony featured prominent personalities including Governor of Kogi State, Malam Usman Ahmed Ododo, represented by the State Commissioner for Information and Communications; Chief of Staff to the Nigerian Minister of Youth Development, Muhammed Abdullahi Funsho; and SSA to the President on Students Engagement, Comrade Sunday Asefon, alongside other industry captains and political stalwarts.
Hon. Shoga was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Ajibola Ajimobi Shoga, National Coordinator of City Boy Movement Favour Abayomi, Abdul MKO (son of late MKO Abiola), and City Boy Movement Leader in Kogi State, Prince Shina Agoi, among other supporters.
