The City Boy Movement has strongly denied accusations that Seyi Tinubu, the organization’s Grand Patron, was involved in disrupting a National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) inauguration.
In a direct response to claims published by Sahara Reporters, Hon. Francis Tosin Shoga, Director General of the City Boy Movement, called the allegations “baseless fabrications designed to tarnish the impeccable character of Seyi.”
The controversy stems from claims by one Isa Atiku Abubakar that he was “stripped naked, bribed with N100m ” and “forced to make videos under duress” during an attempted NANS executive inauguration.
The City Boy Movement dismissed these as “theatrical performance” seeking “undeserved public sympathy.”
According to Shoga, Seyi Tinubu has never even met Atiku, making the accusations particularly puzzling. The statement emphasized Seyi established reputation for “calm demeanour and principled approach to youth engagement” focused on “constructive dialogue and youth empowerment.”
The City Boy Movement, a youth-led advocacy organization for good governance, warned that legal action would follow these “defamatory actions.”
They encouraged Nigerian youth to “disregard these attention-seeking theatrics” and remain focused on constructive engagement.
