Former governor of Osun State and Former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola received Sikiru Olaboye, one of the men who attempted to assassinate him during the 2006 Oroki Day Celebration in Osogbo.
Aregbesola who took to his official social media pages today disclosed this.
According to Aregbesola, Olaboye had recently called into a local radio station in Osogbo to publicly seek forgiveness for his past actions. Moved by this, Aregbesola agreed to meet with him.

During their meeting, Aregbesola offered prayers for Olaboye and assured him that he had no grudges against him or others involved in the attack. He emphasized that he never harbored resentment or sought revenge, trusting that divine providence had spared him from harm.
“I have forgiven him and everyone else involved in that incident. My focus remains on peace and progress,” Aregbesola stated.
