The Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali, has reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing staff welfare, physical fitness, and overall well-being within the Federal Ministry of Transportation.
The minister made this declaration on Monday during a presentation ceremony in Abuja, where executives of the FMT Federation of Public Service Games team, led by the Director in charge of the Office of the Permanent Secretary (Transport), Mr. Musa Ibrahim, presented the trophy and medals won at the October 2025 FEPSGA Keep-Fit and Aerobics Exercise held at Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
The ministry clinched second place overall and first in attendance at the competition.
Commending the team for their impressive performance, Senator Alkali lauded their dedication and teamwork.
“A healthy workforce is a productive workforce. I commend the FMT FEPSGA team for their discipline, dedication, and unity of purpose. I urge you to sustain this momentum and continue to make the ministry proud in future competitions,” the minister stated.
Senator Alkali emphasized the role of physical fitness in improving productivity, fostering collaboration, and promoting a balanced work-life culture.
He encouraged all staff members to embrace regular exercise and healthy living as integral to professional and personal success.
According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Jibril Alkali, the minister charged the FMT team to build on their achievements and prepare for greater success at the forthcoming 2025 Federation of Public Service Games scheduled for Adamawa State.
Accompanying Mr. Ibrahim at the event were the Director of Human Resources Management, Mr. Mshebwale Ibrahim Musa; Sports Manager, Engr. Dr. Sampson N. Ojon; and other active team members.
The ceremony concluded with a group photograph and expressions of appreciation from team members, who praised the minister for his consistent support, encouragement, and exemplary leadership.
