President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held an inaugural meeting with Nigeria’s newly appointed service chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, on Monday, October 27, 2025.

The meeting included the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff, Major-General W. Shaibu; Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke; Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral I. Abbas; and Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major-General E.A.P. Undiendeye.

This reshuffle follows President Tinubu’s recent dismissal of the previous service chiefs, including General Christopher Musa, as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s national security architecture.

In his address, President Tinubu charged the new service chiefs to enhance professionalism, vigilance, and unity within the Armed Forces, emphasizing the importance of their roles in addressing the nation’s security challenges.
