The minister, in a condolence message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Mallam Jibril Alkali, described the late commissioner as a dedicated public servant and patriotic Nigerian who served with integrity, courage, and distinction.

Senator Alkali also paid tribute to Sergeant Adamu Husaini, the commissioner’s police orderly, who died alongside his principal in the crash.

“The demise of the Commissioner for Internal Security, Col. Abdullahi Bello (rtd), is a painful loss to Gombe State and Nigeria as a whole. He was a man of honour, discipline, and selfless service whose legacy of excellence will remain indelible,” the minister stated.
