In the early hour of Friday a petrol tanker explosion has left many feared dead along the Abeokuta–Sagamu Expressway in Ogun State.

Lens News gathered that, the incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. when a 33,000-litre petrol tanker lost control, overturned, and spilled its contents, which later ignited into a massive fire.

The inferno destroyed several vehicles, including a truck and a towing van, and also damaged electricity cables supplying power to nearby communities.
