President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos for a series of high-level meetings with private sector stakeholders and other key groups as part of his working visit to the state.

Lens News gathered that Tinubu is expected to engage business leaders on strategies to boost investment and strengthen Nigeria’s economy. The president will also meet with senior government officials during his stay.

Part of the itinerary includes the official inauguration of the remodeled National Theatre, now renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, as Nigeria prepares to celebrate its 65th Independence Anniversary.

According to his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will later travel to Imo State on September 30 to commission several federal projects executed in partnership with the state government.

The Lagos trip comes just a day after the president attended the coronation of the new Olubadan of Ibadan, where he assured Nigerians that ongoing economic hardship was temporary and likened it to a “painful surgery” that will lead to recovery.
