The lawmaker representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Muktar Shagaya, has kicked off the distribution of essential food items to residents across his constituency.

The initiative, flagged off at his constituency office in Unity Area, Ilorin, is targeted at traditional rulers, community leaders, artisans, students, and other groups.

Shagaya explained that the programme is designed to promote community welfare and strengthen grassroots engagement. He thanked the Federal College of Agricultural Produce Technology, Kano, and Mai Concept Technologies Limited for their “timely and strategic” collaboration in making the intervention a reality.

According to him, the food support aligns with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s people-centered governance and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s national development agenda.

“This exercise reflects our commitment to fostering shared prosperity and building a resilient, empowered, and thriving constituency,” Shagaya said.

Beneficiaries and stakeholders present at the Unity Area constituency office commended the lawmaker’s gesture.
